Thermal Paste or Tape???

Below is the system I have put together, I am waiting for the cpu to arrive in the mail, and was wondering, I ordered some arctic silver II paste, do you use "just" the paste or do you use it with the thermal tape attached to the HSF?? Sorry for this dumb question, this is only the second system I have put together and didnt have all these thermal solutions the last time I did this[way long ago]..Looks like from what I have read, that the paste only is the way to go.

Sorry for wasting your time...did a quick search on google and came up with a couple of articles..you definitly want to use "JUST" the paste, it seemed silly to think that you would use the tape and paste together, but I wanted to be sure, I know these t-birds get plenty hot....

Just don't use too much paste. Remember it is only really there to maximise surface contact

Use thermal paste only and, as damocles said, go lightly on it.
