Thermal paste on heatsink of msi k7t266?

I just realized that the barrier of my overclockability of my system is my motherboard chipset overheating. My system gets more stable when i place a larger fan over the heatsink on the board. So I was thinking about either swapping out the heatsinks or putting thermal paste on the current heatsink if there isnt already any on there. Does anyone know if there is already paste there? I'm not sure how much of an ability I have to swap the heatsinks because there is restricted space due to capacitors and stuff there.

Edit: I have the Pro2 version of the board if that makes any difference.
