thermal pad to thermal paste

Can i use the thermal pad for now and then later on remove and use the thermal paste. Will it be difficult to remove the pad? anything i should know before i atempt to use the pad and later on use the paste?

All depends on the system and if you are going to OC it. You can use the pad initially but that can make it harder to remove in the future. When you want to remove the pad get a product called goo gone and then follow that up with some alcohol on the hs and you should be good to go
