stock HSF with amd64 3200+ came with a thermal pad already on it. Because I'm out of AS5, i'll be using it until i replenish my supply (3-4 weeks). Problem is, i never used thermal pads before. here's my dilema:
i put the HSF on correctly, but forgot a screw i left inside the mounting bracket (I was on no sleep that night, sorry). Took off the HSF again, not realizing the thermal pad acts like poaster putty and sticks to the cpu chip. Knowing that when doing this with thermal grease, all you have to do is reset the HSF and give it a few short twists clockwise and counter to release any air bubbles. tried this with the thermal pad. Any problem with this?
