Thermal grease on a Duron

Can anyone tell me where to put the thermal grease on the chip? Do you actually put it in the middle where it has the information about the chip? Thanks.

you do not put it on the chip you put it on the heatsink were it cantacks the chip and just use a little and spread it thin with a credit card.

na, best to just put it on the chip itself, ya just the center, and like Renob said, just a little bit.

use only a little. otherwise you will be cleaning it up later. The amount of pressure required on those heatsinks to hold them down is enough to squeeze it all out!
