thermal diodes on video dies

I know the 9600xt/9800xt was the first on-die thermal monitoring that ATI used. However, I was wondering if the new 9550 might have on-die thermal?

Also, what was the earliest FX that nvidia included this feature on? I know the 5900 has on-die thermal, do the 5200, 5500, 5700?

not sure about ATi cards - i assume the new 880 core does
For nVidia all the cards that support CineFX 1 or later have a thermal diode on.

So that is:
All the 5xxx (FX) Series
The 6800 Series

Also, only cards that support CineFX 2 or later support clock throttling in 2d mode

So that is:
5700 Series
5900 Series
6800 Series

Im not sure about the 5800 series - it might.....

All the other cards DONT have a thermal diode
