Thermal compound with Orginal Intel cpu fan

My intel cpu fan has a thin sheet of metal or aluminum under it where the cpu goes. If i put thermal compound with it will it make it better or worse, or should i remove it and put thermal compound

If you removed the original pad scrape it all off and use thermal paste, otherwise you should be fine with the stuff Intel puts on there.

i'd suggest removing all the crap ans use some arctic silver instead. but if your going with that cheap white paste compound, just stick with the intel stuff. make sure to get that stuff completely off, you'll probably need some rubbing alcohol to give you a hand
