According to the arctic silver website:

<< While much safer than silver greases engineered for high electrical conductivity, Arctic Silver thermal compound should be kept away from electrical traces, pins, and leads. The compound is slightly capacitive and could cause problems if it bridged two close-proximity electrical paths. >>

In short, yes. Also, how did you manage to get it on the pins?

Clean it up VERY well, and RMA it as DOA. Can't hurt to try, since it's not doing you any good just sitting there.:D

I'd also look (maybe with a Mag glass or something)to see if there is any AS compound down in the socket on the Mobo.
