There's something wrong with me..

I've used deoderant ever since I was in middle school. I've always sweated a lot through my armpits and pretty much no where else, so I've been using deoderant daily for pretty much past 5-6 years of my life.

I just recently switched to sticks of Right Guard Xtreme (Gel) and Right Guard Xtreme (Gel w/ PowerCaps) and I'm getting the beloved "pit stains." They'll go through my undershirt and leave a nasty yellow stain then seep through my outer shirt which makes it embarrasing. I haven't had this problem since.. well, 5-6 years ago. The solution back then was deoderant, since I'm already using deoderant, what could be the problem?

I shower every morning around 7 - 7:30, apply deoderant, go to school, have PE second period (so ~9:00) and apply a new coat of deoderant and still the pit stains. In fact, I've noticed I'll get sweaty during 1st period where I'm just sitting around doing nothing. And it's not as if I'm hot and wearing too much clothing or anything. I dunno what's wrong.

Are these gel sticks less effective or something? Any recommended sticks? I've been using Right Guard ever since the start, but I'll change if the stains stop.

Old Spice for life
but I don't know about uber sweatiness.... not sure if it sucks for that or not.

but the stuff survives even through a shower, you can easily smell the Old Spice 24 hours later (no word of a lie)

Deodorant doesn't make you sweat less. Anti-perspirant is what you need. Does your new product say anti-perspirant on the label?

This is actually a condition (the name of which escapes me ATM). There are several solutions, but the most effective involves killing the sweat glans in your armpits.

Make an app't with your doctor.

I have virtually no sweat glands so I never sweat. I could probably go without deodorant and no one would notice, but I don't out of sheer habit. 🙂

ok, Drugstore.com says that you're using a deodorant and antiperspirant. So, good there. You can try using something like Certain Dri (active ingredient is Aluminum Chloride instead of the usual Aluminum Zirconium Tetrachlorohydrex Gly), but might want to get yourself checked out by your doctor if you are having any other symptoms other than excessive sweating.

I agree.. my hubby uses old spice and i wouldnt ever try to get him to switch... It works great for him and you can always smell it.

Another Vote for Old Spice (I use the Red Zone, or High Endurance, can't remember which....I think Red Zone). It is deodorant and anti-perspirant in one. It is a solid/gel that comes up through the little grate/holes in the top. 2 clicks, 6 wipes for each arm and your good to go.

Ok, maybe it isn't excessive sweating, but I've just been noticing the past week that I've been sweating more than before.

And it's not as if it smells, it smells like the Right Guard deoderant smell. Cool Peak or whatever they call it.

"Certain Dri" before bed = no sweating the next day, regardless of how fat someone is. You can buy it OTC at any drug store.

..I'm 5'6 and 103lbs... 🙁

Maybe I should gain some weight? 😉

Then there is something wrong with you. Usually people sweat a lot because they are fat.

I've got the same problem....just sitting there and i'll be wearing a sponge.....i've found that Old Spice clear gel works well for me, as well as Mitchum, and it helps for me not to use the same one two bottles in a row, i alternate, somehow my body becomes immune to it :Q Weird, since when doing sports or other activities, i sweat the least out of my friends, it's just sitting there that gets me
