There's no crying at work!!! --or-- working with women sucks!

Once a week we have this big team meeting to go over all the products we're working on. Today the marketing girl who we will call Jen is getting into an argument with the designer about something being late. Jen is all upset and leaves the room. She comes back 5 minutes later, eyes all puffy, and the meeting continues. "Are you ok?" "Yeah." A couple minutes later she just bursts into tears, sobbing. I'm like, WTF! Then she starts telling everyone about how much pressure she's under to get these products out on time.

It was a pretty uncomfortable situation so I had to make some stupid funny comments to break the mood.

Working with women can indeed suck sometimes. Fortunately there are a lot of hotties running around this place so it isn't all bad (no pics 😉)

It's not just women dude.

Back about 2.5 years ago I was a wreck from the stress at work. I actually broke down & cried when they told me they were going to have mandatory OT for the weekend (I'd already been putting in insane OT to help them out). I was a basketcase.

Women are emotional, unpredictable animals. But remember, nothing says "Good job" like a firm open palmed slap on the behind.

I will amend it to include "and men who act like women" 😉

Officially exiting ATOT for good because of the sickening amount of misogyny prevalent here.. It's not about being PC.. It's about being intelligent..
Peace out losers...

heh. that was silly.

on another note, I fully concur with the anti-emotion thing. I absolutely hate it when anyone (male or female) dumps their emotional burden on their coworkers. Save that shiet for your psychiatrist, the team doesn't give a fvck.

YES! I never drove anyone off a forum before. I guess it's acceptable for you to have someone cry in a professional setting? Emotions have very little place at work, especially negative ones.
