My new GPS unit is pretty much thumb-sucking awesome.

HOWEVER, I am not. I just discovered I need to get maps for this thing.

Anybody know of a good source for maps for these things? (Anywhere I DON'T pay $100 for one map!!!)

I'm looking for city maps and topographical.

Thanks!! You guys are wonderful!! XOXOXO
;)

There are always certain particular online sources. But yes, the prices are pretty outrageous for what you get.

There was a geocache next to a gas station near my house. An old lady thought it was a bomb or something, called the police, and the bomb squad came out to blew it up :D.

Poor cache placement. If an old lady can find it, it's not hidden well enough. Additionally, if it looked suspicious, the cache owner should have put a label on it explaining what it did.

Most caches are hidden in army surplus ammo boxes, but are hidden well enough so that an average Joe walking down the trail won't find it. Hell, I've even had trouble finding caches I was LOOKING for!
