one of the scared the hell out of my dog one day, though. must have been in the bushes when the dog was looking for a nice place to pee. i swear my dog must have jumped 5 feet in the air.

It dosent look sick. However just make sure you dont get bite by the possum. While they are very immune to most diseases, their mouth however is covered with it.

Just knock the trash can over and it will go on it's way.

There are two types of rabies. The aggressive kind which dosent look like it has by you being so close and getting that picture. Then the "stupid" kind. Even if it has the "stupid" kind of rabies, it isnt going to chase you.

However if you push the can over and it wobbles out but dosent seem to want to run or looks just confused as heck, then call animal control so when it dies no other animal that takes a nibble gets infected.

Just set it free. No reason to shoot it. Yet.

Hey guys, I heard somewhere possums rarely get rabies, but I can't figure out why?
