Today I couldn't find my box of Pop-Tarts. Still haven't found 'em. Unopened box, just gone. That's pretty weird.

No. Here's the thing, something else freaky happened not too long ago. I came home from a business trip, and all the doors upstairs were open and the attic had been opened and had the lights on. I grabbed my gun out of suitcase and called a friend over. We searched but didn't find out how the crap got open. There is no one that I can think of that has a key. It is possible, but this is an awfully low profile way to fvck with someone, because most people would want to gloat. Shirts in the laundry and messing with the lights and doors upstairs?

That reminds me of the Jon-Benet Ramsey case. One theory is that the killer came and went as he pleased when the house was empty, even hanging out in the basement when the family was in the house on the upper floors.

If I came home and found that, I would've called the cops right away. You should definitely change the locks too.

I'd be freaking out.

definitely change your locks, get a security system, and make sure all the windows are locked tight.

Would your ex do this?

You're posting on AT so setup some hidden wireless cams and a computer out of sight (programs that record frames with movement would help cut the disk usage and boredom factor).

She never had a key. No one has a key that I know of.

Grabbed your gun out of your suitcase??? WTF? Packin' heat literally huh?

I always pack my gun(s) when I travel, so it was in my suitcase on top so I grabbed it out.

Thing is though, there has to be a rational explanation for it other than someone messing with me. I refuse to believe that someone would do things that would very likely be unnoticed by most people. If my friends were messing with me it would be much different.

How often are you gone on business? Maybe somebody's staying there while you're gone and the shirts in the laundry were an accident.

Umm.. there can be no other explanations other than someone is messing with you. Unless of course you are suffering from some sort of mental disorder or you are just screwing around and none of this is true. Clearly someone is messing with you if you yourself are not responsible for the phantom t-shirts.

Where are you finding the shirts? Are they in the open or hidden away?

1. fold shirts into neat pile. leave by front door.
2. take a picture of you holding your gun, and leave the picture on top of the clothes with a polite note saying "don't come back."
3. profit!

My idea is easier and more versatile.

My idea will stop solicitors, unwanted family members, psycho killers, and gang members from coming into your home.

So they're appearing in your house and you don't do laundry at the laundromat? That's just too scary. You need to change your locks and make sure your windows are secure. You sure NOBODY has a key? Your parents or brother or sister? Ever have a maid or housekeeping service?

I would seriously consider setting up a webcam and recording it all day. Hide it so they won't notice. Check the recording daily.

I heard the X10 is crap, you want to get a much better camera then that, like one of those pinhole cameras. You can find them on ebay for like $100, pretty cheap.

A "pinhole camera" is not what you're thinking of. Technically, it is a lenseless camera that has an extremely small aperture, practically infinite depth of field, requires minutes-long exposures, and generates image quality suitable for some forms of "modern art." A miniature video camera of some kind would be a much better choice, IMHO. ;)
