Well since you seem bent on enforcing all silly rules, dolph, I suggest that this thread be locked since it is a repost. See not all silly rules need to be enforced - since breaking them can be a good help to the forum.

Plus here are the rules for that forum:

This forum is for intelligent discussions about the war in Iraq and related events in the Middle East...
1. Please keep your posts on topic for this forum...
We sincerely hope the very need for this forum is over as soon as possible.

Thus posts like the supreme court decision and stuff DO NOT BELONG THERE they belong here in off topic

The war is why that forum was created but it changed to encompass all of politics and news once the fun in Iraq started dying down.

It was fine when all the "war on iraq" threads were popping up and a new forum was warranted. But OT is the right place for news/politics/current events. We don't have a separate "religion" forum, and that seems to get as many or more topics than politics.

Until they change the rules, no. It is still for the war and Iraq only. Note: I realize that they probably just forgot to change the rules, but until that is done, don't complain when people obey the Anandtech rules and post political threads in Off Topic.

The forum name was changed, it used to be "war" something or other. I don't think you need to get a 112 on the Fox IQ test to realize that "political" threads belong in the "political" forum 😉
