I had a stitching on my elbow when I got it cut by a shard of glass as a child. I just noticed several weeks ago there's something hard stuck in the skin. Upon further inspection with squinting over the mirror and fondling it, I found out it's a piece of stitching leftover.
I guess they didn't take it out all the way. It's a size of a larger grain of sand, which is small but annoying nonetheless. It seems the skin has completely blanketed and healed over it. There's a pinhole of an opening where I can pick at the part of the thread but it's too small for me to pull the whole thing out through it.
Is it safe to take it out? If so, how? Can I cut and break the skin?
