Hopefully he doesn't want to be a priest in your "cult" ... as "accepting" as they claim to be

Those seeking a credential within the EFCA are expected to uphold a high standard of holiness and wholeness, which includes beliefs and conduct (1 Timothy 3:1-13, Titus 1:5-9, and James 3:1). Therefore, the following will be applied:

1. Any person who (a) practices homosexual conduct in any form, (b) believes that homosexual behavior is a Biblically acceptable lifestyle for themselves or others, (c) willfully and habitually engages in conduct grounded in homosexual lust such as masturbation associated with homosexual fantasies or involvement with pornography, or (d) identifies himself or herself as homosexual, is not eligible for any level of credential for ministry within the EFCA. Furthermore, such persons who already have an EFCA credential will have their credential revoked.

There are no "priests" in my "cult".

This isn't inconsistent at all with welcoming a gay student into the youth group. If you're familiar with Christianity, you'e probably heard of the golden rule and the admonition to love your neighbor.

Maybe the question should be what doesn't bother you?

Gay people. Shocking I know cus you're not used to that. I don't have to try to prove to other people that I'm tolerant. It's sad that someone has to try so hard to try to prove to other people that they're tolerant. Must be sad to live like that. You're a supposed Christian so it shouldn't matter if there's a gay kid in the youth group. He's just another random person but it's sad that you have to point it out to some random internet people. It shouldn't even be an issue since you're Christian.

Well, I guess we're in agreement because gay people don't bother me either. I'm glad that feel that you don't have to prove your tolerance because it would pretty difficult for you given your obvious intolarance of people who have a different belief system than yours. It doesn't matter to me at all that there's a gay kid in the group. I only point it out because 99% of the posts here misrepresent Christianity. Does it offend you that a gay kid can find love and acceptance from Christians, and not from secular students in a public high school?

Why do you have to point out anything? You're Christian. Christians shouldn't have to prove anything to anyone. Like I said in the other thread, many of the Christians here seem to forget what a real Christian is but as we all know, 99% of Christians forget what that is.

I was simply sharing an observation.

How did you come up with 99% and what's a "real Christian" to you?

Let's play "Rearrange the words in the thread title" game. I'll start: there's my gay son in a kids' youth group.

Your turns.
