And it's digging up my lawn :D

Moved here and have grown a fine crop of 7 foot weeds. The lawn guy is here cleaning up the weeds with the Bobcat before he hydroseeds. Neat little machine :D

They are awesome. I used one last month to move some topsoil around and drill some fence post holes. Once you get the steering down, they are cool.

if you thought the steering on the bobcat was hard, wait until you try and operate a John Deere 120 Excavator (or any excavator for that reason). steering isnt that hard, its just doing everything at once that gets hard, curling the bucket, pulling the bucket in, lifting the arm up, swinging the body, and moving if necessary. trust me it takes forever to get used to it.

hahahaha

You are 100% correct. That said, I miss running all of the equipment on the farm. I hadn't driven anything for a couple of years. Then, out of the blue, dad asked me to go down to the farm about a month ago, help him with some of the machinery for a couple of days. 'Twas like I had never been away from it. Once you know what you're doing, you never forget.

my dad ran heavy machinery for a few year when he was younger, knew how to run most everything and was supposedly good at it, i just remember being on his lap when i was like 4 or so as he ran bulldozers, and excavators, etc.

I think that running the machinery is very fun.

<edit> and productive. The reason that dad had me come down to the farm was because there was bad weather predicted, and I had always been the one that could run everything accurately the fastest... I lived up to my reputation, and was literally running in circles around everyone else.
