There will be no more talk of baseball.

No sh*t. I've been a long time Cubs fan, but today is worthless. Wood and Prior have the worst starts of their season during the two most important games of the season.

I will say this, anybody would have done the same thing. There were a lot of hands up there. I don't hold the guy responsible. Anybody who thinks about it and doesn't want a scape"goat" will agree.

I fully expect the bleacher bums to be leading his granddaughter through the stands in 50 years or so though.

No doubt, I really feel sorry for the guy...

Only the Cubs can lose when their starting pitcher knocks a three run dinger into the streets

I was sitting in the El with a bunch of other drunk dejected fans, when somebody on the platform launched into the whole "Always Next Year, In Dusty We Trusty, Never Give Up" schtick. One older fan summed it up concisely by saying, not loudly but quite audibly, "Somebody stand up and choke that Motherfvcker"

Prior had a 3 hit shutout going into the 8th but had a very high pitch count. How is that a terrible start? The guy is awesome but not super human. He shouldn't have been out there in the last two innings.

I give more credit to the Marlins than I would fault the Cubs. The Cubs made a couple of mistakes, the error and the walks, but by and large the Marlins won it more than the Cubs lost it.

For one night pretend the Marlins are the Yankees. Yell in a hostile manner at anyone who likes the Marlins (i.e. Yankees). Tell all of your Cub friends to do this tonight.

It will make you feel better, trust me. 😉

Only the Cubs would blame a fan for trying to do what any fan would try....to catch a foul ball coming right at him. Certainly the Cubs are NOT to blame for being unable to close out the Marlins when leading them 3-1 in the divisional series. Not the Cubs' fault.....just that fan.

the fan didn't lose the game or the series.

try blaming a crappy team that lost 4 games to another crappy team.
a fan catching a foul ball, didn't allow 8 runs to score in 1 inning, or was he responsible for the lack of ability of your crappy infielders...
