There was some weird stuff goin on around here last night ...

About 12:30am or so last night i was watchin TruTV and heard some really REALLY loud airplane type noises outside, like a jet flying over. so i thought nothing of it.

then like a minute later i heard it again, and i'm not talkin like a little noise of an airplane flying over, this was extremely loud. so i was kind of 😕 at this point.

i then heard it like 3-4 more times and was like wtf is that and decided to look out the balcony and see what it was.

so i go outside and i see like 4-5 blinking lights in the sky. am i dont mean UFO's or anything, its clear that they were airplanes, but i have never seen so many. they weren't all flying in the same direction either they were kind of scattered throughout the skies.

and then as i'm looking out in the sky (i'm up on the 9th floor with a clear view of the sky) i saw something almost like a bright light falling from the sky, however it was not way up in the sky. it looked similar to a shooting star however it was a lot closer to the ground than a shooting star. my fiancee saw it too and thought it was one of the planes crashing.

and again after that we heard yet again that really loud sound outside.

then we saw some police cars w/their lights on but not the sirens driving around, and they don't just do that here in MD (they do in DC).

then all of a sudden we didnt'see any lights in the sky and there was no noise.

i dunno it was just a strange order of events last night. im wondering if anyone else heard/saw this and knows what it is. i live in rockville just north of DC and have a view of the south/west sky. i know there are some military bases in VA and was wondering if it was some sort of test run. but whatever it was i was 😕

Sir, if you could just look directly at this device, you will just see a flash of light and you won't recall any of this.

I heard some planes flying over Arlington but I hear flights heading to National on a regular basis so I didn't think it was anything out of the ordinary.

yea it wasn't normal planes at all, i hear them too from reagan being not too far away. these sounded a lot louder. it was almost so loud that my apartment building was slightly vibrating.

and i know it's nothing like UFO's or anything, just curious if anyone else heard it or knows what it was.

I did not read this posting and 'you' have nothing to worry about from me.
I don't even remember what the posting was about.
I forgot it already.
No need to send anyone to 'remind' me of what it is to be a patriotic American.

check out this "arlington alert" i just got for today. maybe it's related to last night.

Test landings and takeoffs at the Pentagon Heliport of the V22 Osprey, tilt rotor aircraft are scheduled at 1300 (1:00 PM) and 1445 (2:45 PM) today, 3 April 2008. The aircraft will be flying at an altitude of 100 feet in the area of Route 27 (Washington Blvd) and Route 110 (Jefferson Davis Highway) during the test process.

There is a National Capitol Region military aircraft flyover scheduled at 1400 (2:00 PM) today from Andrews AFB enroute to Arlington National Cemetary and return. (TM/OEM)

this is just a side note but whatever the heck was doing flybys of Comerica park on Monday was ridiculously loud and awesome... oddly none of us could get a bead on anything... it was cloudy but for the life of me i couldn't see it. jets are cool

I certainly heard it and wondered what it was, the planes were louder than usual. I could write some assnine conspiracy theory about how "they" are all evacuating D.C., but I really don't think its anything out of the ordinary.

Helicopters tend to fly over my area regularly at a fairly low altitude and during all hours of the night, but I don't pay it any mind.

good im lad SOMEONE on here heard it 😛

yea i wasn't worried or anything, but the only strange thing was when we saw the shooting star type object followed by a really loud rumble. i seriously thought an airplane went down or blew up in the sky then fell down and thought that is what i saw, because it was so low to the ground in the distance.

but it was probably jsut a shooting star way on the horizon.

Same here in Atlanta, i think they do rounds with heat vision cameras to bust weed growers. God knows there are a ton of them.

Heard that weed gives off distinctive heat signature at night time. Leads me to my theory.

saw some mean-looking jet fighters do a blue-angels-esque move (sort of like what the air force memorial depicts) The middle dude did a spin at the top of the climb.
