I think I remember watching some show about the brain and he was one the featured ones. There was another math genius and some other guy who remembered everything he's ever read (could read a 500 page book and remember every single word) or something like that. But they all had some other problems like being autistic. You're gifted in one area of the brain but another portion is taken away.

LOL, right after he signed his name to his drawing of the entire town of Tokyo from memory, he had to ask someone else what the date was, so he could inscribe that as well.

I wonder if he sacrifices anything for that kind of memory.

Ha. My sentiments as well. Poor camera work and terrible audio during the dialog exchanges.

autism is strange like that.

edit: that, and without my watch or cell phone or a calendar nearby, I won't know the date. I have a photographic memory, but not ANYWHERE near that detail, obviously... as I'm pretty sure I'm not autistic. ;) But I did once recall an entire page of a history book in 7th grade so I could find the answer to a question. I've since ran out of that kind of specialty film. My visual memory is now mostly reserved for general life... can't get it to take any photos of school material, at least, not in detail... tends to be out of focus.
I miss that ability. I think late-onset ADD is killing me though, as my memory requires the attention to detail and my inability to focus on school work and most printed material doesn't exactly aid in visually remembering those details. lol

I know, I know, it still made me laugh.

But . . . I'm an excellent driver. ;)
