There never was any WMD in Iraq

There you have it. As if this point hasn't been hammered home enough. There were people warning the administration that this wasn't a good idea in general despite the "bad" intelligence. But the flip side of the coin is that there was also "good" intelligence. And some of that "good" intelligence was that there was no WMD in Iraq!

The search function doesn't work so I apologize in advance for a potential repost.

The very idea that bush and cheney were "misled" by the intelligence community is completely ridiculous. They knew there were no WMDs in Iraq. They cherry picked the intelligence they needed and outright lied to justify their bogus, unprovoked invasion or Iraq. You can see the very same tactic being used today against Iran.

First the story is, Iran is working on getting nukes. Eight to ten years by our intelligence estimates. Then, within a few weeks, you have dumsfeld telling America that our intelligence in this area is not reliable and Iran could have a nuke by lunchtime today.

Ridiculous. But it's an election year. Just repeat the same scare tactics and all the timid sheeple will vote for the people who will "protect" us from all those bad people that all our bad intelligence (that turns out to be right after we bomb a couple hundred thousand civilians dead) isn't protecting us from.

I have a question, if dumsfeld, bush, and cheney know something that their own intelligence offices don't know, just where the hell are they getting that information?

Answer: They don't know anything their own intelligence agencies haven't told them. They are simply repeating what they did with Iraq -- framing the intelligence to fit their agenda. Then, when the truth comes out and it's 180 degrees opposite from thier ridiculous, twisted assessments, they'll blame the intelligence agencies for giving them misinformation.

When, oh when, will the American people WTFU???

Saddam did a good job of fooling most of the world, including 2 US Administrations.

The truly funny thing is....We're still getting fooled by him.

Are you saying that we wouldn't have invaded Iraq if say, Bob Dole or Al Gore were president?

EDIT:

I think part of the problem is that the Bush administration looked much too hard for rational to invade Iraq.

Why would they? Were they involved in 9/11?

I'm sure most of the world didn't have access to sources such as Naji Sabri... at least i didn't.

Yes. There's a good chance the U.S. might not have invaded Iraq if this particular administration wasn't in power. There is a something called "conscience" that guides a human being from making morally depraved decisions in life, especially decisions whose effects are not limited to one's self but rather affect the well-being of millions of people worldwide, not to mention the people who are directly affected (Iraqis) and stand to lose the most from such reprobates.

Democrat or Republican, no one with an ounce of decency and humanity thinks up of such ideas, creates MASSIVE propaganda to fool the masses into believing it and then carries out such actions with impunity.

Not just once, but again, a second time around with Iran. There is something peculiar about this administration that from the top down and laterally, almost all of these people in charge are so strikingly perverted that it boggles the mind how they can be allowed and given the mandate to govern a country, much less a country like the United States.

I don't know enough about Powell, but whatever credibility he seemingly had ... anyone who associates with this particular bunch of people is just as depraved as them. Ultimately it was Powell's own decision to go to the UN with that notorious collection of words that forever tainted his public image.

Think Bush really would have launched a war into the heart of a country that actually had chemical and nuclear weapons ready to use against an invader?

The Bush Administration clearly used 'fear' as a weapon, against his own country . . just to get his way.

Neocon Administration?
Funny, I have a video of Clinton and his cronies going on about the WMD's in Iraq back then Clinton was President.
I've seen documents from those inspection teams that said Saddam had WDM's.

Yes, it was only this neocon Administration that told the world Iraq had WDM's.....

Now excuse me while I clean the soda off my monitor from LAUGHING at you.

Even if all that were true, "this neocon Administration" was the only one to actually invade Iraq in addition to being wrong. The government being mistaken is nothing new, but it's not exactly a laughing matter when thousands of people die as a result.

Not to mention an estimated $1.2 Trillion spent on Iraq alone for this fvcked up lie of a war.

And to answer "Neocon Administration?"...yes, this NEOCON administration came in itching to invade Iraq and place it's PNAC views across the ME. Looks like they fooled the US people and fvcked up the whole area. Now we're paying $3.00 plus for gas and $75 plus for oil because of all the ME instability. Great job neoCON Bush administration and fanboys!

While I'm not sure I buy that Bush KNEW Iraq didn't have WMD and just wanted to invade, I believe that he did not approach the issue from a rational standpoint. He WANTED to invade Iraq, and the slim intelligence supporting WMDs gave him a flimsy excuse. Unlike some people, I don't believe he knew the intel was wrong, but I believe he didn't try very hard to find out what the truth was, he just went with the first thing that supported his desire to invade.

I know the wingnuts will ignore this, but do me a favor guys, spread this video link to as many people you know and as many forums you're registered with. With more and more 'in-the-know' high ranking officials coming out against this corrupt administration, the more the american people finally wake up.

yeah true. and the Iraqis would probably become terrorists anyway eventually after we slaughter their families, take away their jobs, ruin their economy so people can barely afford to buy bread and destroy all their hopes ... so really they're just pre-emptively killing furutre terrorists.
