There is no drinking in the server room

Oh, there are servers in the server room. But you don't want servers. You want soft drinks. And there are no soft drinks in the server room.

What a d*ck!!! I have two raised floor server rooms and ill be damned if i cant take my coffee with me when i do my morning checks... This guy needs to get a grip before he has a heart attack. Whats his email....

Lol I guess he wouldn't be happy to see me sitting my mountain dew can on top of a server 😀 I'd worry way more about falling off a ladder and ripping a rack down or something than me spilling a soda.

BAH HA!!!!

Well servers are a different story from regular computers... if it was for a decent sized business maybe I'd find it more appropriate though...

That's really lame to fire someone over a can of pop. Disciplinary action, fine, or some time off. But to fire him on the spot, wtf. What a meanyhead.

Not if its well known that you will be fired for bringing a can of pop into the server room. Doing something that you know will get you fired is silly. Just dont bring a frickin can of pop in there.

Where else am I going to keep my soda cold?

This is what you call a zero tolerance policy. I am suprised he made the same threat to the contract worker company too. That's potentially severing a very important relationship. Wow.
