Can we do something about it, like dig a huge emm effing canal using huge govt stimulus... 😉

Think of how many blue collar jobs we could create if we only used technology available to the ancient Egyptians to dig this giant new canal...

But, the contractors would probably just end up hiring illegal immigrants.

Dig a big canal through Los Angeles and flood Death Valley. Arizona Bay can provide some lake effect rain if the wind is coming from the northwest.

No, and we are not going to build a pipeline from East Texas to Dallas or West Texas either.

In fact, I plan on taking my boat out on a local lake next weekend and doing some fishing.

I'm thinking that with this and a few other major human endeavors, we could possibly increase the probability of having higher pressure systems around Texas/New Mexico, which possibly would cause Gulf of Mexico hurricanes to make a beeline for the Texas coast. Of course, then we'd have to listen to all the Texans whining about too much water. They're never happy with what they have, so why bother.

We already had those in the past few years

Hurricane Rita - 2005
Hurricane Humberto - 2007
Hurricane Ike - 2008

All made landfall in the Houston - Beaumont/Port Arthur region of southeast Texas

Front of my mom and dads house 3 days after Hurricane Ike. Water level had gone down about 6 feet before pic was taken.

See, Damn Texans, never happy..

Err.. wait..

Rain..? Please!

Note to those that live on the Mississippi: We'll take a bit of what you're having off your hands. 🙂

Yeah, but then we'd know where to conduct all the ICE raids! Win!! :awe:

So... there would be less people to complain? win-win!
