Thread 'Some Trump Supporters Finally Realize That Repealing ObamaCrare will affect them'

This post is about me. I'm @bobklosak on Twitter / X

For context, no I wasn't mad about Trump's first term affecting me specifically as I was employed and had no pre-existing conditions. However I was trying to be a nice guy and hold Trump accountable despite voting for him.

A liberal journalist decided to write a hit piece on me just taking what the tweet "sounded" like to look good.

P.S - I voted for Kamala this time.

Hi mods and community,

I’m writing under a new account only because I’ve exhausted previous attempts through my original one, which was banned — I believe due to my persistence on this issue, not due to any rule-breaking in tone or conduct. I want to be respectful here and make a final, reasoned appeal.

Several years ago, I made a post under my real name (a mistake in hindsight) during a very different period of my life. That post remains public and highly searchable. I understand it doesn’t violate forum rules and that policy is typically to leave things as-is. Still, I’m asking for your human consideration, not just a rules-based response.

The world has changed, and so have I. That post no longer reflects who I am, and I ask that you consider removing it not out of obligation, but out of understanding. This isn't about hiding history — it's about allowing someone the space to move forward without having an old version of themselves frozen in amber and served up by search engines forever.

I’ve tried to go through the proper channels. I’ve tried to be polite. I will continue to pursue every peaceful and respectful option available to see this through, but I would much prefer cooperation over confrontation.

Removing the post costs the forum nothing but gives me a genuine chance at peace. Please reconsider.

Thank you for your time.

Surprised the topic isn't locked, but let me suggest this...

Your problems began when you used your real name, and now you are putting your real name out there, AGAIN as if you didn't learn from past mistakes.

The world has moved on, why haven't you? A single opinion posted on the internet years ago, carries very little weight unless you are a VIP hoping to escalate your VIP status and even then why would it matter unless you're hoping to advance to a democratic official position?

The only text I saw was:

@realDonaldTrump I voted for you. Why aren’t Republicans fighting harder to keep pre-existing conditions? — Bob Klosak (@bobklosak) January 12, 2017

How is that anything to get worked up about? Half the country voted for trump, and even did it a second time, and stating to keep pre-existing conditions is hardly a highly controversial post that would make someone take it personally against you.

If you just saw troll post activity, that's bound to happen no matter what politically oriented opinion you post on the internet, depending on which way the particular forum swings as liberal forums tend to drive out conservatives and vice-versa. The key there is don't attach your name to anything that trolls can latch onto, because they have all the time in the world to try to spin things in a negative way to try to spread their own misery.

Have you considered seeking psychiatric help? This is not as big as you think it is.

If only the OP would have considered the ramifications of removing the mention of his post in someone else's post. Then tons more people would show up with similar requests, citing "genuine" reasons.
