IT HAS BEEN SAID*, there actually was a house of ill repute called "The Rising Sun" Because the women were so pretty, that's when you would be leaving.

I've heard versions done by women, and they always seem so much more appropriate (on account of the fact that the real House of the Rising Sun was a brothel)
