I went in to work late this morning and much to my dismay my usual lunch ride left without me thinking I wasn't here. 5 minutes ago I was on the brink of insanity from hunger.

But, as fate would have it, some merciful deity looked down and said "damn that poor bastard has to work another 5 hours" and left free sandwiches in the break room. There were so many contributing factors - opening outlook at just the right moment, arriving seconds before the swarm of hungry co-workers appeared, several bags of chips appearing just as I thought sandwiches and salad were all to be had - that there is no other explanation other than divine intervention.

I was blessed with ham and swiss with lettuce, tomato and mayo on rye. My highest praises to you, nameless sandwich god!
