Also, I can't think of anything I would miss by not going to WalMart, other than missing out on all the undesirables, which is fine. I'm sure I can get these Reese's elsewhere. Just might not be at the particular grocery store I go to.

Every time you use a debit card, it costs $1.50 (usually). If you use an ATM it's usually 1.50 + whatever that ATM company decides to charge. At the cash, it's just the bank's charge, I think.

This is common practice with all banks as far as I know. Never heard of any bank where there are no service charges. Often it's not even the bank, but the store, ATM, etc... that you are using.

Some stores do have a sign saying they will apply a charge if you do not meet the minimum purchase amount.

My bank does not charge me for every debit transaction.

Charging a fee for a POS debit purchase is DEFINITELY not the norm, at least not in America. I've never heard of that happening, ever.

i never get charged a fee for anything i buy using my Debit or ATM card.
