There has got to be an easier way!

I got my atx connector removal tool today and figured I'd give it a shot on a spare power supply.
BLAM! First try the thing breaks! man I'll have to see if I can get a replacement.

Still, I don't want to wait anymore. I want to finish my sleeving project.
I messed around sticking staples in there to depress the pins. I spent about 30 minutes fiddling with this and finally I got one off without damaging the pins!

Anybody have an easier solution or do I need to brew a pot of coffee and prepare for a long night?

OK... I sat down and ate dinner, then brewed a pot of coffee and came back to the task at hand.

Put in a spare PSU and opened up my TP430.

I am starting with the ATX connector and so far having success!
I can't decide whether to credit good coffee or maybe that old generic PS is even worse than I thought!

Still it looks like I'll be here a while. Staples and needle-nose pliers aren't what I call the right tool for the job.

<edit> Hey did you guys know the fans in my Antec are Top Motor?
Aren't those supposed to be crap?
