I just bought a DVD boxset of all five episodes of the mid 1960s French movies series Angélique. Loved those when I was young, at that time. This is the kind of syrupy romance novel stuff that sells so well to women, you know, the kind with Fabio on the cover. They transposed 5 episodes from the books to the big screen and it was rather scandalous at the time for partial nudity. Michèle Mercier was a stunning redhead in the role of Angélique and all the acting was top notch. Great production value too for those who like historical dramas.

Review of the second film.

I figured you lost your man card when you started a thread on the royal wedding.

you people are mean, he made up a stupidly involved story and ran with it until the very end. There's nothing as manly as lying, and his tale was so epic I don't care if he starts 1,000 threads about dancing with the stars, the royal wedding and ones like this. To me his man card will remain intact forever.

A real man doesn't lie.
