Maybe you should try not spilling? Most peoples idea of durability with a KB is being able to type 15billion characters on it without it flaking out on you. That's where the M and Das shine, not in surviving spills.
On the other hand, the IBM branded keyboards (not the model M. the current ones) are very capable of taking a spill. The top piece of the KB is a tray that can hold a couple ounces of fluid before it overflows into the inside where the electronics are.
And if all you did was spill some liquid on the thing, you can unplug it, disassemble it and wash the thing. Just make sure you dry it thoroughly before plugging it back in. If you're using USB, use a cheap USB hub to isolate the KB from your PC when plugging it in if you're not sure of yourself.
