Watching mountains sticking out of the water sailing away from Roadtown, Tortola BVI.

I would put a link to a webcam URL but there is no copy and paste with this device! Where is the retarded emoticon?

I did some hiking in the mountains of St. John (USVI) a couple of years ago. Those islands are rugged & beautiful.

Take a screen shot of the URL and post it. That's what I call the ghetto iPhone copy and paste.

Pics? Oh wait, you can't 'cause iPhone's camera's shit.

Not the best cam but OK considering it's a phone. Show me another phone that can browse the web like this one!

Well it's work so everyone else goes to the beach. But that's OK I've seen it enough. ;)

Not a bad idea actually!

p.s. this post (obviously) was not on an iphone. There's probably some double jointed iphone-safari nerd that could do it though. :Q

Well it's set up on the ship's cell network and I do get calls from other crew members, etc. Probably about an hour of voice use per day and battery life is pretty decent. 3G is off as it does not apply for me. I have a few audio apps that make the phone get hot and suck the battery dry quickly though.

It (like the full keyboard blackberries) probably is a better typer. Thank goodness my nails aren't too long. Styli are a nono (I tried a Treo and that was funky and locked up a lot). Best of all the iphone does music best. When they have 128GB+ versions it will be a standard!

Tortola is nice but the dock is not in the best location as you know. I actually like St Thomas better but that's because I have friends there and tend to use too much shore leave when visiting.

Its actually pretty good. I got an iPhone for Christmas and was expecting terrible battery life.

I can spend 15 minutes surfing the web, 2 hours streaming music, and 3 hours talking on one charge with battery to spare.

Which apps are these? I play Pandora for 6-7 hours a day, and my phone doesn't get warm.

Safari can make it warm if it doesn't close right. I used to have this problem until I heard about it. Now I hold the button down for 6 seconds to make sure it closes.

This one - scope It gets warm real fast when it's running. It takes a while to close it down too so I suspect its heavily taxing the processor.

Wow, now I'm sorry I asked. I want 2 of their apps now.:p
Do you find scope to be accurate?

The output is quite good considering it's running on an iphone! I don't think I'd go as far as calibrating a room with it but in a bind it can confirm good or bad settings. The mic is quite sensitive particularly in the HF region. It easily picks up NTSC pilots in recordings or the presence of a CRT with flyback whine at the same frequency. Closing in on the range you could probably distinguish PAL vs. NTSC pilots as well which is remarkable at this price point!

EDIT:

Be sure to check the FAQ! Apparently the first gen iphone mic is filtered in a way that seriously limits the frequency response of this app!
