I used to own a computer store. we would do upgrades and such. Well anyway a guy brought in his computer because it was not working.

well i pulled off the case and found a pair of womens undies and a used condom. I just put the cover back and called the guy back. well his fiance answered and i told her what i found. she came in and got the computer and paid the bill (i still charged the guy $25 to look at it). she mentioned that the panties were NOT hers and they dont use condoms since she was on the pill. heh i would love to have been a fly on the wall for that argument. 😀

That's pretty nasty, though.

Everybody freaking out that you're like, infested now, needs to calm down.. Even if any of them got out, they aren't going to live or stick around long unless your house is a mess.

I was installing some upgrades in a friend's computer and when I opened the cover I found a dead mouse that looked mummified. There was dried liquid on the bottom of the case near the mouse and it reeked of urine. The case had some of the pci slot covers missing on the back so I can only guess that somehow the little ah heck managed to squeeze his way in but could not get back out. Just thinking about it now turns my stomach.

Worst thing I ever found in a computer was when I was working at a company called TCOM. During the winter, it'd get cold at night in the office (to save money, the heaters turned way down until like 4 in the morning). The mice in there would seek out the computers that were still on and squeeze into whatever hole they could find. A few times while I was trying to figure out what was wrong with systems I'd find fried mouse carcasses where they crawled up onto cards to keep warm and stepped onto the wrong circuit. Almost had one lady who worked there pass out when she saw it there. 😀

That reminds me of when I was working at Radio Shack in college. Redneck came into the store after he called us saying his telephone quit working. He bought this thing like 7 years ago and wanted us to give him a new one. Anyway, my manager opened the phone to see what was wrong with it, and found a ton of dead roaches in the phone. We just laughed at the poor guy, I can't imagine what his house was like with all of those roaches.

I've never found anything bad in PC's really.
the only really bad thing I found once, was a guy said his computer was locking up and running really slow...
the heatsink was on the bottom of the case.

yes, it was only a Pentium, and it somehow actually ran for the most part.

new HSF and computer was like new.

Worst i've come across is dust. MOUNDS AND MOUNDS AND MOUNDS of DUST! Not just any dust, either, dust that has gotten all black and nasty and crap because someone had been smoking near the computer, and it had NEVER been blown out :Q!
