I was surprised when gerald ford apparantly said that clinton had to check into a sex clinic...anyways who cares about the politics...

the reason i was surprised because i didn't know that "sex addition clinics" existed. Does it? SAA? Sex Addiction Anonymous?

Can someone be THAT bad to the point where the need medical attention? Of course we all want to have sex. Hell -I'm still a virgin but I won't doubt for one minute that it is pretty frigggin tempting to go for it. But I can't fathom needing medical attention over it...

There are addiction clinics for pretty much anything you can think of.

Shopping, gambling, sex...

I don't believe that the addiction to sex is consider a real medical condition by doctors but thats not to say there aren't any clinics for it there may be.

I would think that addiction is the mental problem, and sex is what some happened to latch onto. I wouldn't go so far as to say that sex addiction is in a separate field, but a sub category.
