I don't particularly relish picking up my newspaper and reading about how many people died while I slept safe in my bed.I don't like war because I don't like seeing anybody get killed.That doesn't make me anti-Bush or Pro-Saddam.Personally I think we should have done this 12 yrs ago and at this point in time simply hope we can accomplisdh our objectives with minimal loss of our troops.

As far as our president and his chances of reelection,I'd say this war will not be the best predictor of his chances,our economy continiung in the dumper will have more of an impact on that imho.

Most people don't like war, even those supporting the war.

1) If you look at things historically, World War II was the same way. Nobody wanted to go to war with Natzi Germany and they continued to give Germany concessions until it was too late. Sadam doesn't have the same resources as Hitler, but his ambitions and actions are amazingly similiar.

2) If you think that we are antagonizing the situation in the middle east and that if we just leave them alone the'll leave us alone your nuts. There is a percentage that doesn't like us and that will do anything given the opportunity.

Not everyone is American, not everyone has Bush on their agenda, some people from other countries who dont give a damn about Bush (what, people not caring about the President of the USA in something, that's got to be crap :roll🙂 They may be against the war generally. Lets call the "War Supporters" exactly what they are.. Bush lovers. They love President Bush, and they will do ANYTHING in their power to make him look good or to take the opportunity to praise him. The rest are just right wing extremists who are happy Bush won the election, and will do anything to make sure he is re-elected.

You want proof? Take a look at any pro-war rally.. Most of the posters or sayings have some praise showered upon our President, they compare him to Churchill, call him a peaceful man.. etc... saving fetuses, you name it. Where are the lovefests for Saddam? Surely nobody would argue that Saddam has won more elections than our President.. but you never see a sign saying Saddam democratic..

Why? Because these supporters don't give a sh!t about the people of the US, the kids, the innocent people.. all they care about is their political agenda.. Which, in this case, is making sure Bush gets re-elected.
