Right across the street. You don't see them but they all yelp when the train goes by. My neighbor suggested there are more, just kinda freaked me out to hear them all at once. Don't know how they can survive on the slim pickins around here but I noticed I need to put my garbage out later if possible because even if I put it out in the morning it's gone through. We used to have neighborhood cats...

we were tent camping in La Pine Oregon, when about a dozen fired up right across the river from us. Our brave Jack Russell got from on top of the sleeping bags to inside them in about a second. Later, we went for a midnight bathroom run, and he was glued between us. As soon as that bathroom door closed he got all tough and started growling at the door, then silent on the way back to the tent. Those were NOT his brothers!

A lot of building recently and I'm by the park, still seems like too much city for such an experience. Just had another train go by and nothing, guess they moved on.

We have coyotes here too. Most of our neighbors have lost their cats and smaller to medium size dogs. Fortunately, our 90 lb German Shephard keeps them off our property. Due to being in the city limit, you can't use a gun and kill them. You can't leave out poison either due to other wildlife. Animal control won't do anything, so you are pretty much stuck with them. There is about 10 or so in a pack in our neighborhood, they look all scraggley, thin, and many have a limp. Our Shephard goes on alert when she hears them howling at night. She has taken down two already, but I'm afraid in a pack, she will lose and I don't want to lose her. I wish there was a better way to get rid of them. Unfortunately, it will probably take the loss of a 7 or 8 year old kid before the city will do anything.

Wish we had them here. So many semi-stray outside cats and idiots letting their dogs run loose.

Coyotes are the reason I now have to Great Pyrenees.

Occasionally, we hear coyotes up on the hill or back in the valley; and especially beyond the pond on the other side of the road. But, I double dog dare the coyotes to come onto the fenced portion of my property.
