There any needed mods for Clear Sky or Fallot 3?

I quit playing Clear Sky a few hours into it due to some real life stuff.

And just got Fallout 3, haven't started it yet.

Are there any must have mods or updates I need before jumping into either one?

Not really any mods you NEED. But I found Fallout 3, which was already great fun, to be much enhanced by mods.

Send me a PM and I'll give you a short list when I get home of mods that make Clear Sky much, MUCH better. One of them fixes a bunch of bugs the devs haven't bothered to fix yet.

What kind of mods are you looking for? I went to fallout3nexus.com and downloaded to my hearts content.

Well more along the lines of a best of the best. Not interested in changing the core gameplay, more like enhancing it. Kinda like the Oblivion mods which made house lights glow at night, higher-res textures, etc.

There are cross-repair mods. For example, you can repair a chinese assault rifles with regular G3 assault rifles and vice versa. There are high res mods for everything, including a much improved sky/stars/moon and even a mod that adds realistic sunlight.

Fallout 3:

If nothing else, get some of the UI enhancement mods. It makes the menus etc. bigger to better fit the fact that your PC is probably way higher res than console versions. I find that essential. It doesn't change any gameplay elements but makes it look better.

As for gameplay ones, consider getting a weight limit increasing mod. Sure, many will complain that it's unrealistic but frankly it just cuts down on the BS of repeatedly quick traveling back to Megaton.

Clear sky:

Consider a weapon accuracy mod. Otherwise, early game is incredibly frustrating as weapons w/o upgrades are virtually useless.

You should post that list for everyone to check out.

I'd like to see it as well. I've been getting my butt kicked in a Stalker SOC mod, so maybe it's time to play more Clear Sky.

His PM just said to try out StrategyInformer.com

He couldn't remember the names of the mods he installed, other than the weight mod.

I assume NMA has a mods section, but heading to bed and will check there in the morrow.

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/ is pretty much the defacto source for fallout 3 mods.

UI mods are a must. Other then that....meh. I haven't seen anything that deals with what I feel are the fundamental issues with the game, unlike Oblivion which really desperately needed them.
