I am in need of a nice company logo. It doesn't need to be exotic, but eye pleasing is a plus. We plan on using the logo for a private website that is in production, and would like something that's high resolution; EPS or vector is something that comes to mind. Please keep any extra "clipart" to a minimum and try to design the logo around something you might see on a business card, letterhead, etc. No idea is a bad one.

[*]The company name is: Computer Bytes

Thanks to everyone, especially ThePresence.

Good question. It needs to be able to be scaled in size without losing image quality. I suppose 500x200 is a good start. Colors do not matter, but something that flows nicely and looks "business" oriented is what pops in my head. I will leave it up to you guys to generate something.

It really doesn't matter what you seen in the past since I had no part in it.

If it aint enough money for ya, dont do it. For me, it aint always about the money. I've helped out many people here for next to nothing. If I have the time, why the hell wouldn't I help out someone? Because he's not paying enough? Obviously, I'd do it when I wasnt doing anything better.

Voila! I am here. Prepare to be amazed. ;)

So, do you plan on printing any of this? Do you need to go to the extent that HappyMonkey is offering - IE, high res, resizable vector graphics, or do you just want something that you can plaster at the top of your site for people to remember?

I'll answer that question :)

To me, vector is the only way to go. When dealing with something like a business logo, it needs to be able to be scaled down and tweaked. You will also be lauged at by any semi-pro/pro printing service for NOT having a vector version of the logo. Heck, I make everything in Vector for my clients. I just love Illustrator.:D

Illustrator is nice, though I've come to be more proficient in Photoshop because of the prettier uses it has over Illustrator. I'm working on polishing up on some Illustrator skills as of late, though, so maybe I can become a little better with vector graphics. :)

As for me, my eyes are glazing over and I'm falling asleep at the computer. I can barely see the keyboard, and most everything else is white. I think I'm tired. Anyway, I managed to do this logo before I compltely passed out. It doesn't look too bad to me now, but I don't know if the lack of full eyesight has tained my ability to judge my work.

Feel free to critisize. :D

First of all I want to thank everyone for their ideas thus far.

LordMaul - yes I am looking for hi-res and resizable.

I thought CasioTech knocked you off your high horse? :D

Ahh I now know what tantos was referring to.....

I recall from a month or so ago someone else wanted a logo, and it turned into a bitter flame fest w/ the aid of casiotech who had made several revisions and felt "put out".

I am not here to waste anyone's time. If you have the skills and some free time to help, thank you.
