Theoritically: which memory is best?

Hi!

I'm planning to buy more RAM, found some (a lot)....

I've found three different kind of memories:

256MB RAM PC133 cas3 7ns
256MB RAM PC133 cas2 7,5ns
256MB RAM PC133 8ns

Which one of these should in theory be the best? Speed and overclocking!
Can someone tell me why there are RAM's out there that says 8ns PC133, shouldn't it be PC125 in that case (1000/8)?
If a faster (MHz) memory runs at cas3 than a slower at cas2, how much faster must it run to "beat" the cas2 (performance, gaming etc.)

Thx

Winbond or Mosel?

Any other is too much money for me here in Sweden...

What about the other questions?

The 7ns won't be faster if you run it at the same speed, so I'd get the CAS2. If you plan on overclocking, then the 7ns might go higher because it's rated for 143mhz, but I think the 7.5ns CAS2 would go just as high if you set it at CAS3 in your BIOS.

And yes, 8ns=125mhz, so I wouldn't get that.

What exactly is cas?

What's the performancedifference between cas2 and cas2.5?

Somewhere that I can read about it and not have to be a technician....(or however it spells....)

You can find Crucial 7.5 ns cl=2, PC133 256 Mb here. This will probably overclock to 143 at cl=2 if you want. Also, cl=2.5 is only for DDR memory because to get the .5 it needs to be double data rate. PC133 and PC100 s/b cl=2 or cl=3. The cl is cas latency and just determines how fast the RAM is initially accessed it each clock cycle. The lower the number the better (faster). I would personally get the 7.5 ns with cl=2.

thx!

Now's the problem.... to get them here in Sweden... Wonder how much the tax and everything would be if I ordered them from UK or somewhere else...
