Cell phone and 2 year plan is bought and enjoyed

September 27 07

Business plan is priced up and the rep is told that we want 6 lines with one of those 6 lines being the line from June. So 5 new lines and 1 line moved to the new plan.

December 07

Looking at the bill more closely I realize that we got 6 lines on the business plan...and another bill for the June phone.

January 3 08

Call verizion and tell them what happened and that I want the 6th line replaced with the June phone retroactively as of september 27 07. CSR tells me that the best she can do is cancel the line and charge me the $175 cancellation fee and not credit me anything. I tell her that it wont workout and that to get the salesman I talked to involved. She said ok and that they will be calling me back either today or tomorrow.

Who wants to take bets on whether or not they will call and if they do call if it will be in my favor?

They won't call and you'll have to argue for about 22.3 minutes with the second rep you speak to, but they'll eventually cave and make the required change.

Waiting 4 months to check the bill and then expect them to fix it? good luck.

Update:

Its 3:30 on Friday and no call. Im thinking I am going to have to call back Monday and deal with this bunch of fun then.

Wait, how many devices did you get when you priced out the business plan? Did they give you 5 physical phones and charge you for 6 lines? How did you not realize that the old line wasn't moved (weren't you getting two bills?)

Also, if you have a business rep, why are you even bothering with CSRs? Call the rep, they will do 100x more for you than customer service.

edit: for the record, CSRs will never call back, and I bet they'll cancel the 6th account without penalty, move your old account to the new plan, but you will still be charged for both accounts September 27 - December 27.

We were not billed for 2 months and then we got a bill for november and october at once. They said something was up with the billing. We kept getting a bill for the first phone but I was in school and wasnt processing or OKing payables so I didnt catch it. We got 5 phones sent to us and I figured that since they were free we just got one for each of the lines on the plan (not knowing that the june phone wasnt on the plan).

The business rep said he couldnt do anything and to call CS.

It is more frustrating than anything. It was my fault for not checking everything more closely after the contract was signed but I had a bit on my plate with other stuff in the business and with 18 credit hours at school.

I am just hoping they realize that its them that screwed up and they do the right thing. I have VERY little faith that they will though.
