my friend/roommate has like $700+ worth of star wars merchandise in his room....

how about just converting to a REALIST religion like Buddhism instead of hiding behind a religion of fantasy filled with imaginary lightsaber fights and martial arts. Star Wars isn't even about our martial arts, so why is that porky guy a master of Jujutsu?

I tend to agree. It's a little wacky but hey, no worse than anything else, and if it influences people to be decent human beings, then I'm all for it.

An odd thought: Since Jediism (or whatever it's called) is becoming a recognized religion, can you imagine it in a couple of millenia if it were able to maintain a following that long. I guess George Lucas will be a messiah or maybe a Moses type character in their religious literature.
 
wasent a few years ago in england that they tried to get Jedi added to the list of official religions on the census or something like that
