I hate when people say the regular season does not mean anything....If you do not win now, you will not be playing in October.

People also say that games this early in the regular season do not matter, and that the ones in September are the important ones. However, these people fail to realize that every game you win now is 1 less you have to win in October & September.

People also say that games this early in the regular season do not matter, and that the ones in September are the important ones. However, these people fail to realize that every game you win now is 1 less you have to win in October & September.

The fact is the baseball season is 25% too long. A lot of the games will end up not mattering. So talking about these individual games here and there is iffy. But of course the head-to-head with your division rivals and most likely top teams in the standings do matter. It's just a damned long road ahead.
