Movie starts (Avengers, PG-13).

Little girl just will NOT shut up, and the parents do nothing.

I turn around, after waiting plenty of time for them to correct the mistake on their own, and tell them to shut their stupid child up. I'm not one for tact.

Movie ends, dumb bitch dumps her drink on me, I stand up and throw mine at her. Husband (boyfriend? Not relevant, they were white trash) gets in my face about hos this was a kids movie. I reply back with "War, killing, and suffering are all part of a kids movie?"

Bitch leaves damn fast once her guy shows up, so it's just him. I tell him that what happened was complete bullshit and I leave. I get free movie ticket vouchers from theater management.

People, even if a movie IS a kids movie, that doesn't mean everyone has to put up with your children talking at their normal volume for the entire god damn show. What bothers me more than anything, though, is that those people left thinking they were in the right. THAT part infuriates me. Fucking useless, average Americans.

I agree, though in hindsight I'm still not sure if I would have gone the tactful route. I was still right.

She played it off like she tripped, so I doubt I would have had a case at all. I definitely thought about it, though, in the split second before I dumped my drink on her.

Reason why I avoid going to cinema. Even if there is good movie. Really rarely everybody quietly watches movie.

Yeah, this did it for me. It's a shame because the theater and it's employees really rock. I can't even enjoy R rated movies there, though, because now that I think about it, someone always looks at their cell phone every. damn. movie.

We went to see Hunger Games the other day.
I was pleasantly surprised that no one talked or checked phones while we were there.
They had like 5 different pre-movie warnings on the screen about texting and talking and they would escort you out.

I have had my share of bad movie experiences, usually with urban trash who go to the movie to socialize instead of watch the movie.

I went to a 10am showing Saturday morning. Theater was packed. Tons of kids < 9 and I thought being that early I would beat all of them.

Being rude about being right isn't any better than being wrong.

You should have fetched a manager as soon as it became a problem. You could have gotten the free tickets anyway, if you complained about missing the opening of the movie.

They're there to make sure you enjoy the show. Taking matters into your own hands before giving them a chance to correct the situation got you what you got.

I never had to ask people to shut up, I don't really care about people checking their phone as long as they keep it low so I don't see it.

You could have asked gently, then if they don't comply tell the kid directly to shut up.

It takes less effort to be a good parent and make sure your dumbshit children don't act up. I wouldn't have been rude if it had been something out of everyone's hands. They were trash, they deserved to be talked down to.

And she thought you deserved to have her drink dumped on you. If you had spent more time thinking about your manners than about what others deserve, you wouldn't have had to deal with that drama.
