The yee ole "Rate my Rig" thread.

So this is my second build based on reading these forums. The ram is from Fry's, so I can still return it. I'll be oc'ing to 3.0 I hope, so advice will be greatly appreciated. Here is what I got:

Abit IP35-E???? it's debatable now.
C2D E4500
BFG 8800GT OC
2gb(1gbx2) Patriot Extreme DDR2 800
Sonata III w/Earthwatts
Win XP Pro SP2(have Vista Home Prm if that would be better?)
Dlink Wireless G Card
Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD5000AAKS 500GB

Guess that is it. I'll be playing on my Dell 2005 WS(so ancient) and my 42 inch 1080p in the living room.

I think Vista would take better advantage of the video card.

WoW...

That is all I can say about MWAVE atm. Apparently my Abit IP35-E Mobo is dc'd. They of course didn't update me about this, it's like a stealth nerf. so $92 with a $20 rebate would have brought my board to $75 shipped to my door. Now they have pulled it from the sight and my order says the board is DC'd. WTF!!!!

So now I need a replacement board. I mean, I can go with the same one, if it is the best, but now since I have another $95 to play around with, is it the best board for the money? Mind you, every other piece is bought already, it is now just the board that people have jacked up. Thanks
