I've been anti-xbox for the longest time, and well... I still am, for the most part. The problem here is I love Sega games, in particular some of my absolute favorite games were Toe Jam and Earl 1&2, and Jet Grind Radio. This presents a problem with my choice of consoles. I have a Cube and a PS2. Granted we are greeted with Super Monkey Ball and PSO for the cube, but I wanted to play JSRF and TJ&E3, both of which are XBox only. So, last night my roomate and I went to Best Buy and split a box, JSRF, Halo (not my choice, I'm not a fan) and Wreckless...

Whats wrong with me? Am I addicted to toys in general? I mean, it's an X-BOX! *Sob*

Are there any other Sega XBox exclusive titles that I should know about?

Along with Kilgor, I have to ask, what's wrong with an X-Box? It's a CONSOLE, for crying out loud. What, are you afraid Microsoft will take over your life if you buy it?!

Sounds like if anyone should be pro-XBOX, it would be someone that likes many of the exclusive titles they have and will have in the future.

honestly, I dont mind the console itself... it's just microsoft's business practices behind it.

I just found out that Panzeer Dragoon is being released on xbox... I can actually say hooray, because I've got one.

If I were you I'd be more anti-Sega cause they took your money and dont even produce ANY new games for the existing Dreamcast owners. I think they should at least port some of the games(if possible) they produce for other systems to Dreamcast, dunno if thats possible but you get the point. My nephews have that stupid DC that I bought them for Xmas 2 years ago but cant get new games. Guess I gotta go get them a GCN this Xmas ;)

Sega makes great games, they always have. I wish they'd remake the original sonic though, and not these 'sonic adventures' (while still fun, it just doesnt have the flow as the originals). On the plus side, you can get tons of Dreamcast games for like $5 now, so they can be new to your nephew!

Do you look so closely at the business practices of Sony or Nintendo?;) Probably not but I?m sure they have some skeletons in their closet. I like the fact that Microsoft does make the Xbox. Instead of Japan getting everything first we do. :)

Currently there is Gunvalkyrie...which is not one of the better Sega games out for the X-Box. Upcoming, however, is Panzer Dragoon Orta which looks pretty dang cool.

The only game that is not coming to the X-Box that I am upset about is Soul Calibur 2 (at least the last I heard it was a GC only game).

I own all three. My XBox gets most of my playtime.

Hey Intake, Toe Jam & Earl 3 will have extra downloadable levels and objects through XBox Live.

Toe Jam and Earl rock. That game alone is making me want an XBOX. Not to mention all the other cool looking games coming this fall.

you sure about downloadable levels? TJ&E has random level generation, so downloading levels is kinda silly :D

XBOX Live is not an ISP. It's a service you'll sign up for. Latest reports (as of May 20th) have it listed as $49.99 which includes a headset and a 12 month subscription to the service. You'll still need your DSL line as well. XBOX Live will be more of a match making place and general lobby area.

Xbox Live is $50 for a year. Not a month. :p

TJ&E 3, GunValkyrie, Panzer Dragoon Orta, JSRF, Crazy Taxi 3, and House of the Dead 3 are the Sega Xbox exclusives that I know of.

Soul Calibur 2 is coming to the Xbox as well.

Nintendo has had just as bad business practices as Microsoft has had in the past. Don't ever forget the NES days when Nintendo made it so any developer who worked on their games could not develop for the Sega Master System. They also price fixed, made sure Sega games and systems could not be sold in the same stores as Nintendo games and systems, intentially added glitches to their games so that they would stop working after a certain amount of time (anyone remember the ol' Nintendo, blow on it until it works?), company buyouts, general arrogence and backstabbing.

Sony has as many dirty deals as well, but I doubt I need to list them all. Just look towards the music scene and ask a few questions. The hostile buyout of Columbia/Tristar, game companies, music companies, crap reliablity in many of their non-music related electronics (well their TVs are good as well, but their computers are crap)... umm... I wasn't going to get into all of that was I. :)

Almost forgot World Series Baseball 2k3 and Sega GT for Xbox exclusives.

PSO isn't exclusive to Xbox, it's on Game Cube as well (originally made for GC)

Of course not. This is one of Microsoft's favorite games to play. They want to force you to buying their latest product by forcing the obsolesence of prior products.
Take a look at Shenmue 2--it was slated to be released in the US. After DC was scrapped, AM2 still assured DC gamers that Shenmue 2 would still be completed and released in the US as originally planned.

All that changed on 10/12/2001 when Sega announced that they had agreed to cancel the US DC version of Shenmue 2 in exchange for a promise of sales success thanks to the Microsoft marketing machine. This is nothing more than a deal with the devil. Indeed, Shenmue 2 had already been released in Europe and Japan ready-made with English subtitles and the ability to detect (in the Euro version) the difference between PAL and US NTSC consoles.

Very little adaptation would be needed unless they decided to do a full English voice over.

Microsoft has no problems forcing the cancellation of what would have been great DC games in order to force DC fans to buy Xbox.

Honestly, all these price cuts are encouraging to me. I wouldn't at all mind watching the demise of XBox if it allows me to get one for under $100 and all the great Sega games I would have seen on DC and more for under $20.
Just like I'm doing now with DC ;)

wowie! thats good news. good news indeed.

I'm not really interested in House of the Dead 3 but all the others sound good to me. I wonder if the fee for PSO will be incorperated into the fee for XBox Live... if not, I may just get it for the Cube... along with that cool looking keyboard controller they got :)

I loves me some PSO.

From what I've read, it's all inclusive in the XBOX Live price. I might have misunderstood, but from what I gathered, the difference in PS2 and XBOX is that PS2 decided to leave it up to the developers to create and maintain servers and any fees they wish to charge. XBOX decided to bundle it all together. Some developers didn't like this idea and are slow to join (EA and Madden 2003, for example), probably because it means a lot less money in their pocket.

I haven't really been interested in buying a GC yet, so I'm not real sure how they are going to work their online fees. If someone else has some info, I'm interested.

I think this is why the console war is far from over...online play, and the way it's handled, is going to turn the heat up on all three systems.

Soul Calibur 2 is getting a release on all the major game platforms. At least, IGN thinks so.

I'm getting the GC version, though. ;)

Sony says SC2 is coming out on PS2 first, Nintendo says its coming out on GC first, but its coming to all three systems... I doubt the release for each platform are far apart, probably 3 months.
