I suppose if it were to happen anywhere it would be here. After all, both ATi and Celestica have their headquarters here. Anyhow, my favorite store in the city, Filtech Computer has it in stock (hopefully) at $609CDN for the Sapphire card.

That's still too much to pay for a graphics card in my books but it's interesting nonetheless, and prices can only go down from here.

Over at NCIX, the same card is $675, so I consider this to be a good deal. I knew prices would be much lower once the cards were available locally. Now once all the stores get them I'm sure the price will plummet.

Yes I know, it actually converts to $447US which is $48 above the MSRP. It's so stupid. Price gauging sucks. It will END once these cards are highly available.

Are Celestica good cards and are they good to deal with? I ask because our local market and ebay seems to be flooding with them. compusmart of all places has a better price. But not in stock yet of course.

I would think the Celestica cards are better than anything made over in Asia. They're built right here in Toronto. They are one of Canada's largest tech companies. I would imagine that RMA service would be much simpler with them.

Future Shop has the X800 Pro's arrving very soon; pricing is at $599.99.
Compusmart's website has them for $579.99, but no mention of when they are arriving.
I forget to check for staff pricing, but if it's cheaper, i'm gonna be incredibly tempted.
