My wife knew I was looking to get a 8qt ninja foodi thing. My birthday came and lo and behold my wife got me the smaller one. I asked about exchanging it and it turns out she had my daughter and her boyfriend pick it up. They got it at costco and my daughters boyfriend won't return it. :-(

You MIGHT be able to return it since it was a gift. Call your local Costco and ask.

talk to your daughter, offer to drive her & the boyfriend to Costco to get the thing returned & get the one you want.

Btw, that boyfriend sounds like a real prince ...sarcasm. Mode off now

I'm gonna do this tomorrow.

A side note. Apparently guilt is great for getting gifts. A few years ago my birthday was forgotten until 9pm... I was not happy but didn't make a big deal about it.

This year it was like christmas or something. I got the ninja, a new vacuum sealer, a ton of hot sauces, some CD's ( not sure why, everything I have is digital now) candies, several 6 packs and several gift cards.

I got taken out to lunch.
In a little while were gonna go out and get some seafood.

Forgot the clothes..

Won't return it? Costco is weirdly good about taking returns. Only complication is if it was attached to some sort of rebate or something. ULPT- You can probably exchange it a lot of places without a receipt, especially around the holidays.

The best thing about having no friends and gf is that gifts and gatherings are never expected. I'll probably die early of dementia due to zero social reciprocation but in terms of stressful problem sharing with friends I might get even

Why bother asking what I want if you're just going to buy some random crap. 90% of the time its something similar but they want to save themselves $20 and thing it wont' matter. Gift giving and receiving as an adult is just generally annoying. Lets just all go out to dinner and celebrate. Forget the BS gifts.
