The Wow Signal

It seems doubtful it could have been any sort of natural phenomenon.

Some scientists think that *maybe* we simply caught a quick little excerpt from communications between two ships or something. Who knows?

One day in the future- maybe next year, or next century - we are gonna confirm that there really is life out there, and that we are a bunch of ignorant fools for ever thinking we were the only ones in the universe.

I think it's inevitable that we'll find proof of life out there.

i was just watching a national geographic special on ET life and this was mentioned...i thought i would see what ATOT thought about it

Unless the major satelite sent signals back into space, I see no way that they would know the time intervals of 37 seconds.

they interviewed the head guy at the new SETI facility and he said with the capability they will soon have there, he expects we will know we aren't alone by the year 2025...

personally, i think it's pretty unlikely we're alone...there may not be intelligent life elsewhere, but at the very least i'm sure theres simple organisms all over the galaxy

although i personally think that there is intelligent life out there

The only question, is do we count as intelligent life to whoever we fine. If you with the old rule, Intelligence breeds humanity (kindness, peaces ect ect ect), than when we find, or somethings finds us, what will they think?

maybe the surest sign that there's intelligent life out there is that none of it has visited us yet 😉

How do you know?

I don't stop and talk to ants or bugs because they wouldn't be able to comprehend me.

We've been advertising our presence here on earth for about 80years now- so there is radius of about 70 or 80 light years around the earth that has recieved our radio/tv signals. Maybe *they* haven't detected us yet. If they have- would they even bother with such low-level species?

Don't assume that we are so advanced, or that if there is other intelligent life out there, that we would be even remotely as advanced as them. We are probably just bugs compared to them, and wouldn't be able to understand or comprehend what/who they are.

I think what he meant...is refering to my post..we are too barbaric, primitive to bother with, so more or less what you are saying.
