The worst possible time to run out of phone battery!

Earlier today, was on the highway, traffic was pretty heavy, lots of stops and starts, lanes narrowed to two lanes from four.

Well, during one of these stop episodes, people from behind star honking, and as I look into the rear view mirror I see this jerk swerving in the breakdown lane (which had lots of cones there), they were driving a black focus hatchback (and, as they passed me, I saw that the rear windows, bumpers, and side all covered in vote for sanders stickers & signs.)

Well, they were at times flying by the side concrete wall until some people attempted to stop them via giving them less room to be in that "lane".
Fast forward about 15 mins, and around 1 mile later, you see a black smoke cloud up ahead. Fast forward another 40 mins, and yup, it was the same car!
Then the hilarious responses were being shouted at the idiot as they passed by, like "FEEL THE BURN!" or "BURN BABY BURN!" among some other NSFW ones, and ones that you can still hear them from miles away, and when I went to take a picture as I passed them... the phone ran out of battery.

I was mad. I so wanted to post that here. 🙁 Side note, I had no idea that google's GPS navigation sucked down so much juice, when I first had it on, I was at 75% power. Then ~4 hours later, it was running on fumes.

The emergency vehicles were on the other side of the concrete barrier, putting foam on the engine via aerial, idiot basically tried to push the concrete barrier out of their way.
It was some girl, under 30, ripped jeans, green plaid shirt, backwards baseball cap on, and some kind of tattoos on the arms.

I think she got was was coming to her. Karma is a bitch.

Normally true, but in this case, the charger was being used by the people watching a DVD in the back on the DVD player.

I carry a 10,000mAh portable power bank with me at all times exactly for cases such as this. :awe:

This. I've had some bad luck with car chargers until I discovered this for under $10 (thanks SD). My phone is QC 2.0 but my wife's isn't, charges both phones quickly without any problems. We use it with quality Anker micro USB cables, love it.

I bought a couple of the Anker charger along with thier bad ass braided wires. also bought one of their big ass batteries on black friday. ive charged my S5 7 times on that battery before it was drained. I love that thing when flying or stuck at an airport or on long motorcycle rides.
