The World's First Chinese "Supermodel"

supermodels aren't so much about "being gorgeous," it's about being able to create "looks" across a wide range, or a very specific "look," that designers and advertisers want.

remember that their "job" is to have photos taken of them, wearing particular clothes, and to create an "image."

and she's pretty damn tall for a chinese (see last pic) which probably gives her a huge advantage. but yeah not very good looking.

I'm not impressed ... but that's probably because I see "ordinary" women every day who I find more beautiful and attractive than "supermodels".

She's tall and thin - it doesn't matter if she is "good looking" or not. That's not what modeling is about.
 
Most models aren't that attractive to me. They tend to be too tall, and so skinny that they look gaunt and malnourished. This woman seems to follow that trend.

I will never understand the horrible taste people have in "models"... These models arent actually models of anything, they always seem to have weird facial aesthetics

I guess they are chosen for their unique look... But a supermodel? Tons of girls next door look better than that

They are human coat hangers, chosen by fashion designers to show off all their weird clothing designs. I don't think anyone picks fashion models based on how pretty they are, nor are those designer clothes meant to look good. They're like modern art. Fashion is a strange, alien world.
 
I think she's pretty (especially in the picture posted in this thread), but I think the 6th picture on CNN shows probably her worst feature... her height. She's almost like the equivalent of a tall and lanky nerd, but with boobs (insert jokes here about Asians and boobs) and no acne. 😛
 
Follows in the footsteps of the malnourished European models. Not my cup of tea. I prefer the American models (while thin compared to the general populous) who have a more healthy curve.
