The World's Fastest Lotus?

it is fast without a doubt. i wonder how often it is in the shop. the video mentions that he has been through a few transmissions, a couple of engine rebuilds, i wonder what else breaks in something that extreme.

So it uses the tranny from a particular RWD 'yota? You don't say... 😀

Now as soon as I win that lottery...

Cool car. Guy must be loaded to drop that kind of sctatch on his toys. I like his style though. Go big or go home. Then go even bigger and tell your mechanic to stop being a pussy. Haha.

Oh and this is not officially a Lotus thread till Jules approves it.

Something like that would be very tempermental to say the least. I really question the strategy when a swap yealds similar results for much cheaper.

That guys shop is way cool. I would wager he has some other career and doesnt use the shop for anything other than his own cars. Lucky dog.

the second that thing runs out of alcohol, bye bye engine

edit, unless the ecu cuts boost if it runs out. lol

I think if you're doing a lane change and then "all of the sudden BAM," it is pretty much a given that you have just driven in to someone, not vice versa...

Looking at the pics of the damage, he was hit from the rear. Without being there, it could have happened either way. If he was just cruising and the porsche driver was wanting to zip by him, and he signaled.......

The rear damage you refer to is in the area that is firmly planted in the railing in the first picture. You can't assume that come from the other vehicle. He claims a pit maneuver, which means the impact is on the rear quarter panel, and not the back of the car which would be consistent with merging in to someone.

Likely he tried to cut someone off who accelerated and instead of cutting them off, he merged in to them. From his attitude, it isn't much of a stretch to assume he was driving like a douche to begin with.

Boy, he is not well liked on the forums (I never knew that until this morning, reading the posts on both the Lotus forum and Ferrarichat about his crash), and I can see why. He writes like a teenager with 'roid rage, not a rich old guy. The story sounds improbable to me, but obviously we have no way of knowing. That car seems very sketchy to be driving on the road in my view.
